Now tracking: $3m+

August 30th, 2007 by ryan

$3 million tracked! The invotrak site has just reached a significant milestone: it’s now tracking over $3 million US dollars in users’ invoices!  This is very exciting, as it shows just how far invotrak has come since it launched!  And, on a personal note, it’s very encouraging to see people using a tool we developed and finding it helpful.

Here are a couple of facts about overdue invoices: since invotrak launched, of the invoices that weren’t paid on time (but that were eventually paid), roughly 20% were paid within 31-60 days of being overdue, and only 7% were paid between 61-90 days.  Based on this, it’s best to make sure your clients are paying their invoices on time, and not to let payments go beyond that 60 day mark, as the likelihood of payment at all drastically declines.

We plan to put up some original content about tracking invoices, some of the tips we’ve come across, and more interesting statistics in the near future.  For the time being, however, we’d love to hear from you!  How have you used invotrak?  What do you like/not like?  What can we do to improve the site further?

Great Site , i use it all the time.

Few changes id like to see
    A) Sorting alphabet for client names or invoice #
    B) Everything should always be visible on the site paid or unpaid I believe there is a limit i entered over 60 invoices some just dissapear off the list but they do show up in excel but you cant find them again or see the attached invoice

Hey I own a seafood wholesale business and I’d like to also have something where I can put my bills in from my suppliers so I can figure our rough profit each day. Right now I can input my sales to my customers but it would be a great feature for my small business if I can use this to also track the bills I owe! I signed up bc I’m a mac user and i love the dashboard widget. Keep it up, thanks for your hard work guys! You’re really making life easier for us little guys out there!

ultraspec: Glad to hear you enjoy it! I think those are very do-able suggestions, and I’ll try to get them implemented into the site ASAP.

Anthony: Great to hear you’re using the Dashboard widget! And I like your idea of also tracking incoming invoices in addition to the outgoing ones sent to clients. It’s not a simple task to implement, but I’ll put some thought into how we might make this work.

BTW: terribly sorry for the delay in responding! I was actually on vacation all last week without access to this blog. So, apologies, and keep the great feedback coming!
