Creating invoices from timesheet entries

July 25th, 2008 by ryan

We’ve gotten a lot of feedback from users about the latest changes to invotrak.  Many people have been very impressed (“Bravo!” wrote one enthusiastic invotraker), and a few have offered some suggestions for improvements.  So, not ones to sit around idly by, we’ve added a couple updates.

The biggest one is the ability to create an invoice from a selection of timesheet entries.  In the past, you had to create an invoice first, then attach entries to it as line items.  Now, just select the entries you want to invoice for, select New Invoice for the client to send it to, and you’re on your way!

There’s a couple of other minor changes we’ve made as well.  Right now, I’m working on some additional screencasts to illustrate all the great new features of invotrak, and I hope to have these available soon.  In the meantime, be sure to let us know what you think!

I really like your updates! I have a suggestion for the creation of invoices from time sheets. a. I really need to itemize my invoices, so I’d love to see an option to include not only what I did (the time sheet line item) but also the date I did it. That would provide my employers with the detail they need to track my hours. b. When I create a paper version of an invoice from time sheets, the line items don’t show up. There’s only a total, which isn’t very helpful for my employers.

Thanks so much! You’re doing wonderful work!
